This policy explains how the operator of the UwView information site (uvp.y42u.net) (“we”, “us”) handles information collected in connection with this site and the “UwView” software.
1. About UwView (the app)
UwView is a read-only text viewer that runs locally on your own computer.
- UwView does not send the contents of the files you open, your operation history, or similar data to any external server.
- There is no telemetry (no transmission of usage statistics).
- Loading, searching and displaying files all happen entirely on your device.
2. Information collected on this site
2-1. Comments
When you use the comment box on an article or page, we collect and store the name, email address and comment text you enter, plus your IP address and browser type (user agent) for spam detection and abuse prevention. Your email address is never made public. Comments may be reviewed (moderated) before they appear.
2-2. Access logs
The server automatically records access logs including the date and time of access, IP address, referring URL and browser type. These are used to keep the site running reliably and securely.
2-3. Analytics (Cookies)
This site uses analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used and to improve it. These tools use cookies to collect traffic data. The information collected is anonymous and does not identify individuals.
- Cookies can be disabled in your browser settings. If you disable them, some features of this site may not work correctly.
- Data collection by Google Analytics can be disabled using the opt-out add-on provided by Google.

Note that this site does not display advertising (no third-party advertising cookies are used).
3. Purpose of use
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:
