- macOS: unzip and launch
UwView.app. It is unsigned in the free build — on first launch, right-click → Open → Open in the dialog. - Windows: unzip and run
UwView.exe. If SmartScreen warns, choose More info → Run anyway. - Linux: extract the tar.gz, make
UwViewexecutable (chmod +x UwView) and run./UwView.
SHA256 (integrity)
Verify after download (macOS / Linux: shasum -a 256 <file>; Windows: certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256). Filenames are the v1.2.1 release assets.

You can read and search the whole file the moment you open it, even on the first open; the index is simply built on the first open, in the background (other viewers show only the head until indexing finishes).
